Bangladesh: Overseas Aid

To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how much funding his Department is providing for humanitarian programmes in Bangladesh. (187933)

The total UK aid to Bangladesh proposed to be spent in 2007-08 is just over £116 million. This includes just over £10 million of funding for emergency assistance to meet the humanitarian needs of people affected by the floods and by Cyclone Sidr in 2007.
