asked the Under Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, If he will lay upon the Table a Copy of the Report of Her Britannic Majesty's Consul on the Condition of the British-Indian Coolies in Réunion?

, in reply, said, he could not promise at that moment to lay upon the Table of the House a Copy of the Report. The Report had been referred to the Viceroy of India, and until the Foreign Office had received the Viceroy's observations upon it, it would not be expedient to lay the document upon the Table of the House.
