asked the First Commissioner of Works, Whether he proposes to purchase the block of buildings between the new Home and Colonial Offices in Parliament Street and St. Margaret's Square?

Sir, the subject of improved accommodation for the War Office and other Departments is now under consideration of the Government, and of course it would be premature to say whether these arrangements will include the purchase of the block of buildings to which the hon. Member's Question refers.
