asked the Vice President of the Committee of Council on Education, Whether it is intended that the employment of the students in the Art Schools shall be permanently discontinued in the decoration of the unfinished parts of the South Kensington Museum?

Sir, there is no money at present available for the decoration of buildings at South Kensington. No decision will be formed as to the continued employment of art students in the decoration until the whole question of the proposed new buildings at South Kensington is settled. I may add, however, that the subject of these buildings, which is a very large one, is now engaging the attention of the Government.
