asked Mr. Attorney General for Ireland, Whether it is intended, under the twelfth Clause of the Irish Judicature Bill, that the office of Lord Chancellor in Ireland shall be made a permanent office held during good behaviour, like the other superior judgeships?

, in reply, said, that it was not proposed that the Bill should in any way interfere with the position of the office of Lord Chancellor in Ireland as it at present existed.
