To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty what are the terms of advancement from stoker in His Majesty's Navy to chief stoker and mechanician, respectively; are candidates for S. P. O. and C. S. ratings selected only from those who express their willingness to continue with the course of training for mechanician if required. (Answered by Mr. Lambert.)
