May I ask the Secretary for War whether he can add anything to the information which we have in the papers this morning in reference to the unfortunate and fatal aeroplane accident which occurred at. Montrose yesterday, and whether he will see that special inquiry is made into the cause of the accident?

The officer commanding the Military Wing of the Royal Flying Corps was at one dispatched, on the occasion of this very sad accident, to make special inquiry into its cause. I cannot make any statement as to the cause until this officer and those who are with him have reported. As soon as they have done so, I shall certainly communicate it to the House and to the hon. Member.
