asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Shipping Controller whether, since November or December, 1916, orders have been placed for some 345 standard vessels; if not, will he state the actual number of standard vessels which have been ordered in the United Kingdom; and whether he will state the actual number of these standard vessels completed and in service on 28th February last, giving the total gross register tonnage of these vessels completed and now afloat?
