asked the President of the Board of Trade what action he pro poses to take to give effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission of 1909 on Canals and Inland Waterways?

I do not think that I can usefully add anything to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Reconstruction on the 14th November last to a question on this subject, of which answer I am sending the hon. and gallant Member a copy. In present circumstances it is not possible to give effect to the recommendations of the Royal Commission.
