asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any Report has yet been received from the Committer which investigated the application for a duty of 33⅓ per cent, on scientific instruments under Part II of the Safeguarding of Industries Act, in addition to the duty of the same amount already imposed under Part I of the same Act; and, if so, what is the nature of the Report and what action is contemplated under it?

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The Report is under consideration, and I hope to make an announcement at an early date.
