asked the President of the Board of Education whether, in view of the serious unemployment among youths between the ages of 15 and 21, especially in shipbuilding and engineering centres, he will consider the advisability of providing suitable courses of institution, general or vocational, to counteract the evils of enforced idleness?

The matter is at present under consideration by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and myself.
