asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that a betting business has been registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts under the title of the National Co-operative Turf Association, Limited; and whether the Government will take immediate steps to strengthen the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts to secure the protection of the public?
