Business Of The House

Volume 161: debated on Thursday 22 March 1923

The text on this page has been created from Hansard archive content, it may contain typographical errors.

Will the Prime Minister tell the House the business for next week?

Monday: Local Authorities (Emergency Provisions) Bill, Second Reading; Fees (Increase) Bill, Report and Third Reading; and Industrial Assurance Bill, Second Reading.

Tuesday: Consolidated Fund Bill, Second Beading.

Wednesday: Consolidated Fund Bill, Third Reading.

Thursday: Adjournment for Easter until Monday, 9th April.

The Lords Amendments (if any) to Bills will be taken as soon as they have been received.

In view of the fact that full days are required for the discussion on the Second and Third Reading of the Consolidated Fund Bill, it will be necessary for me to take, Private Members' time on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and I shall on Monday give notice of the necessary Motion.

Is it proposed that we should meet on Thursday as though it were a Friday, or at the ordinary time of a Quarter to Three?

Can the right hon. Gentleman arrange that the Industrial Assurance Bill be taken at a reasonable hour, in view of the great interest taken in the matter?

Division No. 58.]
