Tea, Sugar, Coffee, And Cocoa Duties

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can give the total amount received by the Treasury from the tax on tea, sugar, coffee and cocoa, respectively, for the years 1919–20, 1920–21, and 1921–22, and the rate of tax in each case?

As from 2nd June, 1919, in the case of tea, and as from 1st September, 1919, as regards the remaining articles, the above rates of duty were reduced by one-sixth in respect of goods of Empire origin and consignment.
