asked the Minister of Agriculture the total sums advanced to farmers and smallholders to date under the Agricultural Credits Act, 1928?

Up to and including Tuesday, 25th February, 1930, the Agricultural Mortgage Corporation had advanced the following sums under Part I of the Agricultural Credits Act, 1928:

In addition, the Directors of the Corporation had approved the following loans, subject to satisfactory completion of the formalities:

The number of agricultural charges created under Part II of the Act from 1st October, 1928, up to and including Saturday, 1st March, 1930, was 1,989, standing in the names of 2,367 farmers.
