asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury the capital value of lands and properties held by the War Office, the Admiralty, and the Air Ministry, respectively, in Great Britain and overseas?

The information could not be given without an expenditure of time and labour which I do not feel justified in asking the Departments concerned to undertake.
