asked the Postmaster-General whether it is intended that the British Broadcasting Corporation will have a monopoly in respect of the use or rejection of any television transmission system which is discovered in future?

It is not intended that the British Broadcasting Corporation should be responsible for accepting or rejecting any television transmitting system which may be discovered in the future. The Television Advisory Committee is charged with the duty of advising me on this and other points arising in connection with the development of the broadcast television service.
