asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he will furnish details of the Royal Commissions appointed since 1st November, 1931; the number still in being; the number which have completed their investigations; and their cost to date?

As the reply contains a number of figures, I will, with my hon. and gallant Friend's permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

Is the Financial Secretary aware that the Royal Commission on Palestine is not publishing the evidence given before it; and will he make representations to the Commission to have the evidence published?

Following is the reply:

Ten Royal Commissions have been appointed since 1st November, 1931, of which seven have completed their investigations and issued their reports. The names of such Royal Commissions and the cost are as follow:
