asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware that since September, 1935, grave distress has been caused through the evictions of families from the Loch Assynt estate, Sutherlandshire; and what steps he proposes to take to secure employment and alternative accommodation for the members of the families so evicted?

I am not aware of any evictions of families from the neighbourhood of Loch Assynt, Sutherland.
