Immediately after Questions to-day the Adjournment of the House will be moved, and I propose to make a statement on the general situation. We desire to pass the Possession of Mortgaged Land (Emergency Provisions) Bill through all its stages at to-day's sitting so that it may go to another place and be included in the Royal Commission to-morrow. Tomorrow the House will meet at the usual hour, 2.45 p.m., and, after Questions, the Adjournment of the House will be moved and my right hon. Friend the Minister of Supply will make a statement on the work of his Ministry.

I will make a further statement with regard to the sittings of the House next week.

Can the Prime Minister say if it is proposed that the House shall meet on Friday?

No, I do not think it will be necessary to ask the House to sit on Friday of this week.
