asked the Home Secretary whether he can give any information in connection with the false air-raid alarm at Norwood Green Police Station, Southall, Middlesex, Southend and Northampton?

The air-raid warning sounded at Southend on the 14th September was due to a technical defect in the apparatus, which has now been corrected. The warning sounded at Norwood Green Station, Southall, Middlesex, on the 18th September was due to a misinterpretation of a telephone message received there. I have no information regarding any air-raid alarm at Northampton.
