Motion made, and Question proposed,

"That a sum, not exceeding £319,655, be granted to His Majesty, to complete the sum necessary to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1941, for the salaries and expenses of the House of Commons, including a grant in aid to the Kitchen Committee."—[NOTE.—£155,000 has been voted on account.]

Motion made, and Question, "That the Chairman do report Progress; and ask

leave to sit again" [ Captain Margesson], put, and agreed to.

Committee report Progress; to sit again To-morrow.

Army And Air Force (Annual) Bill

Read a Second time, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House for Thursday.—[ Captain Margesson.]
