asked the Minister of Supply whether the military personnel covering administrative, executive and clerical posts in his Ministry work the same number of hours as their civilian analogues; and whether they are required, or advised, to accept the same responsibilities in regard to fire-watching at Ministry premises as the civilian staff?

The military staff employed in the Ministry of Supply work the same hours as the civilian staff and are now liable for fire prevention duties equally with civilian employees.
