asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport whether he is aware that certain seaside resorts are now advertising their attractions to induce visitors during the coming summer; and whether he will define in advance his attitude towards a campaign of this nature?

I have seen it stated in the Press that the authorities of one seaside town have authorised expenditure for advertising the attractions of their resort. I deprecate any campaign the effect of which is to induce additional travel.
