asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the difficulty of training linotype operators, he will arrange for the maximum deferment to be accorded to selected boys learning this trade in newspaper offices?

In view of the urgent needs of the Forces I am unable to agree to defer the calling up of young men in order that they might continue their training as linotype operators in newspaper offices.
