asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that the Barking local Employment Exchange Committee has not been meeting regularly recently; and whether he can take steps to make it function properly?

The normal activities and meetings of local employment committees have, of necessity, been restricted by wartime conditions, but provision exists for meetings to be held as may be necessary. The Barking committee is fully constituted and I am satisfied that the committee can function properly when required.
