asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is able to make any statement on the progress of conversations with the United States of America and Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics on economic reconstruction after the war?

My hon. Friend will be aware of the Food Conference which is to be opened on 18th May, and about which I made a statement on 6th May in answer to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for East Aberdeen (Mr. Boothby). I have not at the present time any statement to make on the progress of conversations on other aspects of postwar economic reconstruction.
