asked the Secretary of State for War whether the soil conservation services are at work and being extended to meet the deteroriation going on in Somaliland?

The question of deterioration of pastures in British Somaliland receives the close and continual attention of the Agriculture and Veterinary Department of the Military Administration. A report surveying this problem together with the kindred problems of forestry and grazing control has recently been made by an expert on these matters. The recommendations made in the report are at this moment under consideration by the War Office and Colonial Office.
