asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether he will give an assurance that the site of the proposed new Post Office selected at Oxford for Folley Bridge will not interfere with the proposed Mall scheme, comprising the proposed road round Christchurch Meadow.

I am not in a position to give a specific assurance in the matter, but I know of no reason to suppose that the Post Office project would preclude the adoption of the road scheme referred to, since the Postmaster-General is proceeding with the concurrence of the responsible Authority.
