asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs it he will expedite the grant of a passport in the case, details of which have been submitted to him, of a British metal merchant who wishes to go immediately to Belgium to contact business associates with whom he conducted an export trade before the war and who are urging him to come to Belgium immediately to organise the renewal of this trade.

I am happy to inform the hon. Member that the passport is being granted to the person concerned.
