asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he has under consideration the publication of a White Paper on events that led to the outbreak of war.

Three White Papers were published in 1939 (Command 6102, 6106 and 6115) which contained a number of documents concerning the events leading up to the outbreak of war. Moreover, as has previously been announced, a distinguished historian, Professor Woodward, is at present going through all the Foreign Office files for the years 1919 to 1939, with a view to publishing a further selection of documents in a series of volumes. In these circumstances the issue of a further White Paper is not felt to be necessary at present.
