asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation whether he has any information as to the probable time when the public aeroplane service between South Wales and Bristol and Weston will be restored.

My Noble Friend is fully aware of the saving of time brought about by the pre-war air service across the Bristol Channel. It is not yet possible to say when the service will be re-started, but my Noble Friend is giving active consideration to the future civil air services in the United Kingdom, and the route between South Wales, Bristol, and Weston-super-Mare is among those receiving attention.
