Naval Establishments, (Scotland)

Volume 432: debated on Tuesday 21 January 1947

The text on this page has been created from Hansard archive content, it may contain typographical errors.

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty if he will give a complete list of the naval bases, dockyards, harbours, training establishments, hospitals, armament depots, stores departments, fuelling stations, naval air stations and other naval establishments owned or administered by his Department in Scotland, distinguishing between those which are in use, those which are on a care and maintenance basis and those which are earmarked for disposal.

Apart from a few establishments which it would not be in the public interest to specify, I append a list of naval establishments now in use in Scotland and also a list indicating those which are on care and maintenance. It is not possible, however, at the present time to indicate which establishments in these lists may eventually be redundant to Admiralty requirements.LIST OF NAVAL ESTABLISHMENTS IN SCOTLAND IN USE ON 20/12/46
