asked the Minister of transport if he is yet in a position to make a statement regarding the erection of a temporary footbridge at Hornsey Station.

The possibility of erecting a temporary footbridge has been carefully examined, but in view of the time and cost involved in erecting such a structure, it has been decided to place a contract for a permanent bridge. When this can be built must depend on the availability of the necessary steel.
