asked the Secretary of State for War when publication will be effected of the official history of the Persia Command in the last war.

The two despatches relating to the Persia Command have already been published as Supplements to the "London Gazette." They are;

(a) Despatch on Operations in Iraq, East Syria and Iran from 10th April, 1941, to 12th January, 1942, by General Sir Archibald Wavell (now Field-Marshal Earl Wavell) published on 14th August, 1946.

(b) Despatch on the Persia and Iraq Command covering the period 21st August, 1942, to 17th February, 1943, by General Sir Henry Maitland-Wilson (now Field-Marshal Lord Wilson) published on 28th August, 1946.

The Official History of the War which will cover Persia as well as all other overseas theatres, cannot, of course, be published for some considerable time.
