asked the Minister of Labour how many of the 20,000 men who are to be taken off road maintenance work have so far been taken on as agricultural labourers.

It would be quite impracticable to maintain records showing for each individual leaving a particular industry, whether he has gone into agriculture or on to something else, particularly as men are free to take agricultural employment without reference to the employment exchanges.
