asked the Minister of Supply to what extent his Department is responsible for the disposal of Commando daggers as surplus war stores; and if he is aware that these are available in certain retail shops and can be purchased by children.

All surplus stocks of Commando knives handed over to my Department for disposal are broken down to recover the metal. None of these knives has been sold by my Department.
