asked the Minister of Transport what proportion of the sum of £62,000 to be spent on diverting A.67 near Winston Village, County Durham, will be found by the Exchequer and local authorities, respectively.

Seventy-five per cent. of the approved cost of this scheme will be met from the Road Fund and the remainder by the Durham County Council. The correct estimate of the cost is about £76,000. I regret that, by an oversight, an out-of-date estimate was incorrectly given in my answer of 21st March to the hon. Member for Twickenham (Mr. Keeling).
