asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that patients seeing specialists under the Health Scheme have to wait for several hours in spite of an appointment having been made; and if, as in the case of busy people and housewives, it is impossible for them to wait indefinitely owing to their duties, a more satisfactory system will be evolved.

I am sending my hon. Friend a copy of a circular on this subject sent to hospital authorities on 14th January last.
