asked the Minister of Health how many former full-time paid employees of Hospital Contributory Schemes have been thrown out of work as a result of the introduction of the National Health Service; how many have obtained other employment; and what compensation has been awarded them.

I regret that the information is not available to my Department. Employees of Hospital Contributory Schemes are not in general entitled to compensation for loss of office.
