asked the Secretary of State for Air what was the number of personnel discharged from the Royal Air Force suffering from tuberculosis in 1947 and subsequent years; and whether such discharged personnel receive X-ray examinations at the time their medical unfitness for further service is determined.

Men and women discharged from the Royal Air Force suffering from tuberculosis numbered 1,803 in 1947, 1,060 in 1948 and 355 in the first five months of 1949. The answer to the second part of the Question is "yes".
