asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is satisfied with the success of his policy of giving the public sufficient opportunity of learning the facts of the country's economic position.

My right hon. and learned Friend is satisfied that the public have a much better understanding of the economic situation than formerly and to that extent the policy mentioned by the hon. Member has been successful.
