34.

asked the Minister of Labour how his disablement resettlement officers are trained; and what is the average duration of this training.

The officers concerned who have had previous training and experience in employment work are given a full course of training to cover the various aspects of their duties as disablement resettlement officers, detailed particulars of which I will send my hon. Friend.

May I ask the average time that these courses take, and whether my right hon. Friend regards the time allowed as sufficient to train men for important work?

Many disabled men have been placed in industry as skilled men, as a result of the training given to officers on these courses.

Are any courses available in training people to ask snappy supplementary questions?
