Mr. Sutcliffe
asked the Minister of Agriculture if he is yet in a position to indicate the result of his consultations with the British Transport Commission and the Road Haulage Association on the measures to be taken following the recommendations of the Committee on the Export and Slaughter of Horses, as regards amendments to the Exportation and Transit of Horses Order, 1921, and the Transit of Animals (Amendment) Order, 1931.
Mr. T. Wiliams
No, Sir. The recommendations of the Committee have been embodied in a draft Order which has been sent to the Railway Executive and the Road Haulage Association for their observations. I am awaiting replies from those bodies.
