asked the Minister of National Insurance how many persons are receiving supplementary pensions to old age, retirement and widows' pensions in Stockton-on-Tees; and what is the average payment.

At the end of September last, in the area administered from the Board's office at Stockton-on-Tees, 2,523 regular weekly grants of National Assistance were being made in supplementation of non - contributory pensions, retirement pensions or widows' pensions or allowances. I regret that the information asked for in the second part of the Question is not available.
