asked the Minister of Food what is the highest price which may be charged for steak in Great Britain.

The maximum retail price which can be charged for first quality home killed rump and fillet steak is 2s. 8d. a 1b. and for imported, and second quality home killed, 2s. 4d. a 1b. The corresponding prices for shoulder or chuck steak are 1s. 10d. and 1s. 6d. a 1b.
