asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what provision is being made to store Civil Defence equipment outside vulnerable areas.

So far as possible it is the practice to avoid vulnerable areas in the selection of sites and premises for the storage of war reserves of Civil Defence equipment. This cannot, of course, apply to the equipment now being issued to local authorities for Civil Defence training. This must be stored in the areas where it is required.
