asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that his recent circular advising hospitals to send their swill and kitchen waste to central concentration plants and not to sell it to licensed collectors, involves those collectors in losses as they have installed the necessary plant to comply with the licence conditions; and if he will accordingly reconsider this circular.

My circular was issued at the request of my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries with the object, I understand, of reducing the risk of infection of livestock. I see no reason to reconsider it.
