asked the Minister of Local Government and Planning whether, before sanctioning a loan to the Peterborough Joint Education Board to cover a supplementary payment to the contractors to the Arthur Mellows Village College, he satisfied himself that the Peterborough Joint Education Board were liable for that additional payment.

My right hon. Friend has received no application for loan sanction for this project. When he does, he will consider it in consultation with his right hon. Friend the Minister of Education.
