asked the Minister of National Insurance, on the basis of the present insurance scheme, what increase in insurance contributions would be necessary to provide a contributory old age pension of 40s. a week.

asked the Minister of National Insurance what would be the cost to the Exchequer of acceding to the request of the Old Age Pensioners' Association to increase the old age pension to 40s. a week if there were a proportionate increase in insurance contributions; and if no increase in insurance contributions were made.
